The 30-Minute Kitchen Deep Clean (No Scrubbing Marathon)
It's 4:45 on a Tuesday. Dinner needs to happen in an hour, the counters are doing something you'd rather not look at too closely, and somewhere under that pile of mail is your stovetop. You don't have a free Saturday to give this room. You have thirty minutes.
Good news: that's enough. Our crews clean kitchens for a living, and we've timed this exact sequence down to the minute so you can do a real deep clean — not just a wipe-and-hope — before anyone walks in the door.
Set a timer. Go in order. Don't skip ahead.
The 6-Step, 30-Minute Sequence
1. Clear and Wipe Counters & Dishes — 5 minutes Empty the sink into the dishwasher (or a "soak now, wash later" bin), and clear every flat surface down to bare counter. Nothing gets deep-cleaned around clutter — it just gets cleaned near it. Wipe every cleared surface with a damp microfiber cloth and an all-purpose cleaner.
2. Appliance Exteriors — 5 minutes Fridge doors, dishwasher front, microwave, small appliances left out on the counter. One pass with a microfiber cloth and glass cleaner or stainless polish. Don't open the fridge yet — exteriors only, keep moving.
3. Stovetop — 5 minutes This is where most people either rush or get stuck for twenty minutes. Neither. See the pro trick below — it's the difference between the two.
4. Sink — 5 minutes Scrub the basin, hit the faucet with a cloth (fingerprints and water spots live here), and don't forget the drain area and disposal ring, which is usually the actual smell source in a kitchen, not the trash.
5. Floors — 7 minutes Quick sweep or vacuum first — mopping over crumbs just makes paste. Then one pass with a mop or a damp microfiber flat mop, focusing on the high-traffic path between the sink, stove, and fridge rather than trying to hit every square inch.
6. Trash & Reset — 3 minutes Take the trash out, swap the bag, do a 60-second walk-through to put back anything that migrated during steps 1–5. This step is what makes the other five actually feel done.

Why This Works
This isn't a shortcut version of a deep clean — it's a deep clean with the wasted motion removed. Most of the time lost in kitchen cleaning isn't scrubbing, it's re-touching the same spot because you cleaned around clutter instead of clearing it first, or because you didn't let product dwell time do the work for you.
If this felt familiar, you'll probably like our weekly 1-hour cleaning routine that actually works — same idea, applied to the whole house instead of just the kitchen. The two routines are built to run back-to-back on the weeks you need both.
Too Busy for Even 30 Minutes?
Some weeks, thirty minutes isn't there either — and that's exactly what we're for. Our team runs this same sequence (and goes deeper) as part of every visit. If your kitchen needs more than a fast reset, take a look at our deep cleaning service and we'll take it off your plate entirely.
